Responsibilities
- Drive Komatsu 930E or CAT 789-C haul trucks to move coal or overburden safely.
- Check trucks daily—tires, brakes, lights—to keep them mine-ready.
- Load and haul material from excavators to dump points with precision.
- Log hours, fuel, and loads in paper or digital systems.
- Spot hazards and take steps to keep the site safe for everyone.
- Stick to Blackwater Mine’s safety and production rules like glue.
- Work with excavator crews to keep material moving smoothly.
- Report truck issues or incidents to supervisors on the spot.
- Handle 12.5-hour shifts on a 7/7 day-night roster, no slacking.
- Pitch in with minor maintenance like fluid checks or small fixes.
- Follow Queensland’s mining and road safety laws to the letter.
- Keep the cab clean and gear in top shape for the next driver.
- Join safety briefings and training to stay on top of skills.
- Adapt to changing pit conditions or weather on the fly.

Requirements
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- Proven experience operating Komatsu 930E or CAT 789-C haul trucks.
