Responsibilities
- Handle and stack cartons from the production line onto skids
- Help operators with machine setup and changes
- Carry out basic quality checks to ensure packaging meets standards
- Keep your workspace clean and clear of hazards
- Follow instructions related to safety and standard processes
- Assist in adjusting or maintaining equipment as needed
- Communicate with others on the team during shift handoffs
- Stand and move for long periods (entire shift)
- Lift materials weighing up to 40 pounds regularly
- Record basic production or inspection info when required
- Spot and report any production issues right away
- Stick to rotating 12-hour shifts and meet punctuality expectations
- Work occasional weekends as part of the schedule
- Join in on safety talks, refresher sessions, or team meetings
- Pitch in with other basic tasks across departments if asked
Requirements and Qualifications
Education
High school diploma preferred.
Experience
- Prior work in manufacturing, packaging, or print shops is helpful.
- Entry-level applicants are welcome.
Skills
- Comfortable lifting and moving items during long shifts.
- Knows how to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Can talk clearly with coworkers and read basic instructions.
- Reliable and shows up on time.
- Good eye for detail and quality.
Knowledge
- Basics of workplace safety and using PPE.
- Understanding of how a production line works.
- Knows when to speak up about equipment or safety problems.
- Able to follow shift schedules and take instructions.
- Familiar with general housekeeping standards on a shop floor.
