Looking for a part-time caregiving job that really means something? Ryman Healthcare is hiring in Dunedin, and this one’s a little special. You’d be working with residents living with dementia — people who need calm, consistency, and kindness above all. The shifts are locked in: Friday and Saturday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. No guesswork, no last-minute changes. The team you’d join is supportive, experienced, and genuinely passionate about aged care. You’ll also get paid a bit more for weekends — an extra $2.50 per hour. And if you’re the kind of person who finds purpose in helping others feel seen, safe, and valued, this could be the right fit. You’ll need to already be based in New Zealand and have the right to work here — this role doesn’t offer sponsorship.
About Ryman Healthcare
Ryman Healthcare’s been around a while — over 35 years — and they’ve built more than 40 retirement villages across New Zealand and Australia. But it’s not just the scale that stands out. Their whole philosophy is built around doing things properly. Whether it’s creating safe, welcoming homes or developing their own digital care app (yes, they’ve got one), they stay a step ahead. You’ll find over 7,500 team members across their network, each playing a part in helping people live well in later life. Ryman’s also the first healthcare company to earn the Wellbeing Tick, showing how seriously they take both resident and staff welfare. It’s not just about care — it’s about connection, dignity, and purpose.
