Responsibilities
- Perform excavation, demolition, preparation, reconstruction, trenching, backfilling, grading and landscaping, shoreline work, barge work, handling (loading/unloading), etc.
- Adhere to safety procedures to ensure compliance with company and construction industry standards;
- Work as part of a team, maintaining a pleasant and trusting work environment, collaborating and communicating effectively with colleagues and other trades on site;
- Care for and maintain equipment;
- Perform all other related tasks.
Requirements
Education
- DEP in mechanical shovel operation or equivalent training.
- Valid CCQ excavator operator card.
- ASP Construction and WHMIS 2015 certifications.
Experience
- At least 5 years operating excavators on construction sites.
- Background in large-scale projects is an advantage.
- Experience working in collaborative, fast-paced settings.
Skills
- Expertise in operating heavy machinery like excavators.
